Reach Out and Engage Consumers

Unsure how to effectively weave social media into your existing marketing mix?  It can be overwhelming to decide the social media mix, message content and manage deployment.

  •  Meaningful Message Content

Effective social media  is not about plastering advertising messages. Rather, it is a mix of communication that busts through the clutter and encourages dialogue, engagement and connection with real people on the other end of the communication. Content should honestly convince people of genuine intentions, knowledge, and expertise in a specific area or industry through providing valuable and accurate information on an ongoing basis without a marketing angle overtly associated. If this can be done, trust with, and of, the recipient of that information – and that message itself – begins to develop naturally. Effective social media message content encourages consumer rapport and brand loyalty.

  • Correct Mix of Social Media Platforms

It can be daunting to decide which mix of social media is most effective at reaching existing and potential customers. According to Wikipedia, there are over 200 “popular” social networking sites and the number is growing. The key is to identify  which social media networking sites align with the interests and demographics of your target audience, at the same time remaining mindful of the time resources required to maintain a consistent, meaningful presence.

  • Timing and Consistency

Absolutely key to the success of social media is consistent, timely deployment of dialogue.  A social media conversation calendar is efficient in that it allows the author to determine a concise content strategy, identify venues (Facebook etc.) and plan for optimal deployment based on consumer user analytics. By committing to a conversation calendar the process of implementing a strategy is simplified by insuring that posts are updated regularly.

Like any other form of marketing, social media requires planning, resources and monitoring.  Let me conduct an audit of your current use of social media, and provide feedback and suggestions about how to sharpen your presence.
